Victor Servranckx // Senti et pensé
As abstract modernism in Belgium seemed to fade out during the second half of the 192o’s, Victor Servranckx kept working in the same way without making any compromises.
‘Senti et pensé’, the title of Servranckx’ drawing form the former collection of Michel Seuphor, reads like a reference to the modernist belief and perspective both men shared und cultivated for decades. Abstract art was the rational or ordered expression of an intense emotional life.
